No matter how much I enjoy color images, I always find myself returning to black-and-white for nature settings. There’s something about stripping away color that makes the depth and textures stand out in a way that color never quite achieves. Oddly, removing color doesn’t make the world feel less vibrant—it enhances the contrast, revealing details that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Once blending into its surroundings, the single cactus now stands in striking relief against the bushes and distant horizon. Shadows deepen, highlights sharpen, and the interplay of light and form takes center stage.
