Blue Sky Over the Grand Canyon

In this Grand Canyon photo, I focused on the interplay of red and blue to create depth. The canyon walls rise high above, their deep reds anchoring the foreground with intensity and weight. As the view stretches into the distance, the red tones gradually fade, giving way to an expanding blue that deepens toward the horizon.
This contrast between the bold, warm reds in the front and the cool, vast blues beyond helps emphasize the canyon’s immense scale. The shift in color makes the landscape feel layered, guiding the eye naturally from the detailed foreground to the distant expanse.
I’ve always found that playing with color can shape how we experience depth in an image. By allowing red to dominate the near ground and blue to take over the horizon, the canyon feels even more immense—it is my attempt at pulling the viewer into its vast, breathtaking expanse.
