Taken on a morning drive through Alpine Canyon, it was early, and you could see the shadows of the rising sun.
Morning shadows seem softer than evening shadows. Is there a scientific reason for the light and the waves, or is it simply my perception?
In this photo, the glow is so bright it looks like someone took a white crayon to outline the mountain ridge. The trees nearest me are still dark in the shadows, while the trees on the peak fade slightly in the light. The mountain has jagged groves as if a giant tossed a stone into the side, and it rolled, crashing and smashing, through the layers and layers of rock.
